Parade Haven Dachshunds
About us...
I chose to become a small time breeder of dachshunds after I got my second doxie. Jack is a red piebald and I just fell in LOVE with the piebalds once I got him. I have since added a few females along the way. Each and every one has contributed to my better understanding of the breed. My first three dachshunds will always be the core of my passion, and are very special to me. They are not part of my breeding program anymore, just pampered pets!
I have had the pleasure of getting to know many breeders online and have made some wonderful connections with these people. They are part of my daily life, that's for sure. I want to thank one in particular for all of her support and faith in me. Tina Shepherd of Magnolia Dachshunds has been a key player in my current adventure....showing my dogs! She has placed two of her beautiful dogs in my care and I have appreciated every word of her advice along the way. She is the most caring and passionate person I know when it comes to dachshunds. She is the kind of mentor people dream of when they are new to something. I hope to continue to make her proud!
I work as a receptionist/vet tech for a local veterinarian. I love my job more than any job I've ever had. I am truly blessed to work for some really great veterinarians and also co-workers who I consider mentors and great friends!
I hope to continue expanding my knowledge of the breed, and also my knowledge of showing. These dogs are truly special to me, and I enjoy sharing that with others. I strive to produce quality pets for local families. Hopefully someday I'll also produce some show quality dachshunds that I or others will have the pleasure of showing. I love keeping in contact with all of my puppies to watch them grow. And the new families have all been really great to keep me updated with stories and pictures. That is what makes it all worth it for me.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!
Laurie
